It’s only the rest of my life
After two months of thinking about it, debating my options, swinging back and forth on the issue, and measuring whether I could handle endless winter any longer I recently decided to accept my offer and attend the University of Minnesota for my Ph.D. I am now really excited about the decision and feel as though it was the right one to make.
Although I had envisioned myself getting out of town and to a state where my hair doesn’t freeze when I run five months of the year, in the end the benefits of sticking around greatly outweighed the drawbacks. I am excited to stay in a department where I have established good relationships and continue working on projects I have already begun.
Now, I’m exhausted and am trying to get various tasks done before I head out for my spring break tomorrow. Hopefully my blogging will improve this week, as I know it’s been pretty boring lately. Here’s to making and committing to major decisions!
